Renowned Host Kevin Carlo Abila

August 16, 1995 – September 13, 2043

Kevin Carlo Rosal Abila, commonly known as “KC”, the host of the hit culture- oriented magazine show in the Philippines, “Morning, Noon, and Night”, peacefully joined our Creator at the age of 38, last September 13, 2043 as a result of his lifelong battle with diabetes. His entire family and friends in the broadcast and journalism industry was with him from the beginning of his battle against the disease until his very last breath on Earth.

Survived from poverty, KC was the eldest of the five children of Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand and Lilian Abila, natives of Libon, Albay in the Bicol Region, who permanently settled in San Juan City together with their four other children after KC found a satisfying job in the country’s premiere station, ABS- CBN, as an editor. They settled there for good and lived prosperously after completing his graduate degree in the University of the Philippines, where he also garnered his diploma in Development Communication. He’s been a household name after he bagged the rights to host his first ever show “Simply KC”. He was then managed by Boy Abunda after the latter discovered the talent of the former. He was currently one of the hosts of the top- rating noontime show “Trip mo to!” and a columnist in The Manila Bulletin. In 2033, he co-founded HAPLOS, a civic and volunteer organization that aims to help the unserved people and the rural folk in the farflung areas of the country find opportunities and potential resources in their respective places that will boost the local community without being compared to the urban setting.

His closest friends in the industry have organized a memorial celebration of his life this Saturday, September 16^th, at ABS- CBN Convention Center. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Heaven’s Garden in Makati City while the burial will be held on the 20^th at 11:30 am, Heaven’s Garden Memorial Park, Makati City. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to his organization, HAPLOS, and continue supporting this as his legacy.
